Immanent In A Minute

Bronze

87″ × 38″ × 19″

This two-element sculpture consists of a vertical shaft of bamboo resting on its own rhizomes and a stone next to it. Both are cast bronze forms. Both also have zippers running up the entire length of the bamboo and along the edges of the stone. Why do we attempt to see into nature while nature quietly and steadily reveals itself?
